Let me start with the fact that I do not like to use the term "weight loss" as we all know what is lost is meant to be found. We want to permanently dispose of the excess weight, right? Therefore, I tend to use the term, "disassociating with negative influences".. ie.. bad food, for example. In any endeavor like this, we must focus on the end goal of being more healthy. Did you know that for every pound you gain, it puts five extra pounds of pressure on your joints? So, look at the opposite, every pound disposed of, takes off five pounds of pressure.
An example of one day of meal plans for the first few weeks would be like this:
Breakfast: Two eggs scrambled with cheese and two slices of turkey bacon.
Lunch: A large salad with plenty of fresh veggies, bacon bits and grilled chicken or turkey.
Dinner: Grilled seasoned fish or chicken with asparagus, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower or even a large salad. Be creative with your dishes!!
For snacks, I eat various types of cheeses, sugar free yogurt, cottage cheese, nuts, or turkey roll ups (deli turkey meat with lettuce, cheese and dressing rolled up in the middle of it.) If I have a sweet craving, I eat sugar free jello or sugar free fudge pops.
I eat three meals each day with at least 2 or 3 snacks, so you can see, I do not go hungry. Stay on this eating plan for a minimum of two week and you will see and feel the difference. After that time, you can gradually add some low starch fruits (no bananas or watermelon), whole wheat pasta, brown rice and high fiber breads. You can even have a sweet potato once in a while. This gives variation to your eating plans.
After giving birth to 6 children, I had put on some pounds over the last years. I had tried various fad diets and nothing worked. I would lose a few and gain even more. This eating plan has worked for me and I have kept the weight off for over a year now. My one weakness is cheesecake, so I found a recipe that substitutes xylitol (a low glycemic, natural sweetener) for sugar. It tastes great and it is a special treat for me at times.
One main thing to keep in mind is to keep healthy foods on hand all the time to snack on and do not even buy the unhealthy ones. Do not let yourself get too hungry or you may want to just grab something to eat and that could be a bad choice. I can make a promise to you that is you will follow this plan, you will shed the pounds!! I would love to hear your comments on this article. Thanks for allowing me to share.

I love your first sentence: "Let me start with the fact that I do not like to use the term "weight loss" as we all know what is lost is meant to be found" Another herbal sweetener is stevia and it is wonderful and has no bad press, so to speak. Thanks and welcome to Searchwarp! Marijo
